How Planetary Hora is Calculated
Hora (planetary hour) is an ancient system that assigns each of the 24 hours of the day to one of the seven classical visible planets. By aligning your key activities with the ruling planet's nature, you maximize planetary support and reduce friction.
The duration between sunrise and sunset is divided into 12 equal day hours, and sunset to next sunrise into 12 night hours.
The very first hora at sunrise is ruled by the lord of the weekday. Subsequent hours follow the Chaldean order of planets in decreasing orbital distance: Saturn → Jupiter → Mars → Sun → Venus → Mercury → Moon.
